A Chef with farming roots and a farm inspired restaurant coming out to the ranch? Oh yeah, this will be the perfect night!
The Chef - If you follow the local food scene than you already know all about Chef Gerry Castro's talents and accolades. Through his guidance Till was named "Best Restaurant" in Colorado Springs, and Chef Gerry is highly considered one of the most talented Chefs in the region. He has trained and taught at the legendary Culinary Institute of America in Napa, California, and worked in the finest farm to table restaurants throughout California. Chef Gerry was raised on a family farm, and his love and passion for agriculture are highlighted through his locally sourced and inspired dishes. We are so honored and excited to have Gerry, our friend, former farmer, and talented Chef taking over the August 12th dinner.
The Music - The Tejon St. Corner Theives, Colorado Springs most beloved band, will be taking over the ranch as dinner winds down. These guys got their start, well you guessed it, on a Tejon St. Corner. They have worked their way into being a permanent fixture in the Colorado Springs music scene, and were recently named The Area's Musicians of the Month. "More than a farm dinner" - The Farm Dinner will always be the centerpiece of the evening, but our events have so much more. Every "Night on the Ranch" will include; full behind the scenes tour of Corner Post Meats (worth the ticket itself), local wine and spirit tasting, live local art demonstrations, local farm and business showcase, live music, and any other local treasures we can get out there.
