Sunday September 16th Overview
Join us for the Goodbye to Summer Farm Dinner featuring Chef Luis Young and Summit Restaurant from the Broadmoor hotel. We know this team will give this summer the send off it deserves. Chef Luis and the Broadmoor restaurants are very familiar with the ranch and use Corner Post Meats' product in the restaurants regularly. We couldn't be more excited for them to come full circle and prepare a true farm dinner for all our guests. Woodshed Red will be joining us one last time to rock out on our Front Porch Stage. This will be the perfect was to cap off an incredible summer. Join us to send it out in style!
The Chef - Luis’ work represents the perfect match between luxury and simplicity. His technique evokes the highest levels of quality and attention to detail, maintaining a clean and fresh style. His food is a constant homage to great ingredients. Chef Luis’ professional experience has been forged in the world's finest kitchens, from his time as an intern at Alinea and the Celler De Can Roca, to his work as a professional at the French Laundry. A common thread is perceived through his work; it brings together a path of gastronomic excellence and a precedent of unique experiences with food and fine dining.
The Drink - We love all things local and it doesn't stop with food. Every dinner will offer a combination of local wine, beer and spirits, all of which are produced in a 30 mile radius of the ranch.
The Music - Woodshed Red is a Colorado Springs favorite with seriously devoted following. Originally comprised of guitar, fiddle, upright bass, and drums from varying musical backgrounds; the group came together in 2013 and began covering a huge variety of genres, as well as writing their own original tunes. In late 2017, the band welcomed Jason Gilmore on mandolin to round out their line-up. Inspired by bluegrass, blues, funk and rock spanning eras of music both old and new, the band members have incorporated their individual styles to create their own unique sound. The instrumentation of Woodshed Red generates an upbeat positive grassy sound, intertwined with funky, untamed improvisation. They deliver high energy artistic performances at various festivals, venues, and private events. In early 2018 they released their sophomore album "Live in Manitou".
More Than Just a Farm Dinner - Every "Night on the Ranch" is more than just a Farm dinner, its a celebration of everything local. You will have a full behind the scenes tour of Corner Post Meats, a working sustainable meats ranch, local wine, beer, or spirit tastings, art demos from local artists, local musicians and other entertainment. You will definitely leave with a full experience and deeper connection to everything local! This is the most "Colorado" thing you can do on a Saturday night.
