Saturday July 14th Overview
July 14th is a celebration of one Chef's love affair with good meat. This is one of those dinners that we have started to look forward to all year long. The only person more excited than us, is our Chef. This dinner has been a year in the making, and what happens on this night, well, you have to be there to see (actually taste) it for yourself. Get ready to feel the love!
The Chef - If you know good food in Colorado Springs you know Chef Jacob Cheatham. Jacob has been perhaps the longest supporting Chef of Corner Post Meats (from back in the day!) and is incredibly passionate about the meats that come from the ranch, and good ingredients in general. As former Chef at the Blue Star, Jacob had the chance to handle Corner Post product every day so we know the meat is in good hands. Chef Jacob is currently crafting INSANELY good dishes at Loyal Coffee Company which has a cult following for a reason. Go there. Eat the food. This will without a doubt be one of the most thought out, well prepared, and best executed dinners of the year...or as Chef Jacob puts it, the sexiest! We're lucky to have this great Chef and all around awesome guy taking over the ranch!
The Drink - We love all things local and it doesn't stop with food. Every dinner will offer a combination of local wine, beer and spirits, all of which are produced in a 30 mile radius of the ranch.
The Music - This band won't have to travel far to find their way to the ranch. Monument's own Wirewood Station will be rocking the Front Porch Stage. What do you get when you put a Rocker, a Classical Violinist, a Bluegrass Guitarist and a Jazz Bassist in the same room... Award winning WireWood Station! This eclectic group of musicians are the reigning champs of the "Best Acoustic Band in Colorado" at the Rocky Mountain Music Festival as well as winning the "Best Band in Colorado Springs" by the readers of the Gazette for 2016 and 2017. The will be the perfect fit for an authentic Colorado Farm Dinner.
More Than Just a Farm Dinner - Every "Night on the Ranch" is more than just a Farm dinner, its a celebration of everything local. You will have a full behind the scenes tour of Corner Post Meats, a working sustainable meats ranch, local wine, beer, or spirit tastings, art demos from local artists, local musicians and other entertainment. You will definitely leave with a full experience and deeper connection to everything local! This is the most "Colorado" thing you can do on a Saturday night.
